MUSCAT // The body of a missing Emirati man has been found in Oman.

The body was transferred back to the UAE by ambulance on Tuesday night, according to Buraimi Governate police, the Times of Oman reported.

The man, Mohammed Ali Murad Al Balushi from Khorfakkan in Sharjah, went missing five days ago and his body was found on Monday night in Mahadha, more than four kilometres away from his abandoned car.

Police suspect the Emirati may have died on Saturday, based on the condition of the body. Police have not confirmed the cause of death.
