A baby boy found abandoned on a doorstep in Ras Al Khaimah on Sunday is in good health.
"He is healthy and after an examination has been showing good signs of activity," said Dr Yousef Altair, the head of the accident and emergency department at Saqr Hospital. Further details on the baby and the whereabouts of his mother will be released soon, according to an RAK policeman.
The incident is one of several cases of babies being abandoned in the emirate. In April, a child thought to be no more than a few weeks old was left outside a mosque in the Old RAK area.
