Ajman Civil Defence extinguishes fire at residential car park

There were no casualties in the blaze, which started in a sofa next to the car park and spread to a vehicle, civil defence said.

AJMAN // A fire in an Ajman residential car park broke out onto a sofa and spread to a vehicle, Ajman Civil Defence said.

There were no casualties in the blaze, which started at 6.20pm on a couch that was located beside the car park in Al Nuaimiya area. It then spread, leaving the front of the car burnt, said Col Nasser Al Zari, spokesman for Ajman Civil Defence.

The blaze left black smoke because of the plastic materials in the couch, said Col Al Zari, who added that the cause of the fire was unknown.

“The crew handed over the incident site to police to do the investigation,” he said.
