ABU DHABI // The Civil Defence service in the capital says it is ready for any emergencies over the Eid holidays.
Lt Col Mohammed Al Ansari, director general of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, said its centres in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region have the resources needed for a rapid and efficient response to fires or other incidents.
Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National, reported that Lt Col Al Ansari urged the public to give way to fire engines, avoid gathering around incident sites, report any emergency and cooperate with Civil Defence crews.
