National health insurer Daman has introduced home visits in Abu Dhabi as part of a drive to boost access to services for elderly and disabled members of the public

Lain Endaak, which means "we’ll reach you", allows customers to manage their accounts from the comfort of their home.

Doorstep calls by the service, which is run in co-operation with the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, are free of charge.

“Such services contribute to senior citizens and people of determination overcoming key challenges that they may face in accessing physical or virtual branches,” said Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohamed Al Hamed, chairman of Abu Dhabi's Department of Health.

“This service further enables them to better manage their health insurance affairs and overall healthcare access, right from the comfort of their own homes. It thereby greatly improves their quality of life and experience.”

The insurer also recently launched the Hayakoum online branch.

“Our goal is simple,” said Daman chairman Khalid Al Muhairi.

“We want to make the management of health insurance policies and services as convenient as possible, and today’s announcement is a major development in serving senior citizens and people of determination."

Lain Endaak visits can be booked by calling Daman’s customer service centre.
