Rory is an assistant editor-in-chief at The National, overseeing the daily running of the newsroom. He was news editor for six years and prior to that worked for The Scotsman newspaper group. He grew up in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and has lived in the UAE since 2014. He does not miss Scotland's weather, nor its politics.
