Amr is based in Abu Dhabi and joined The National from Cairo where he worked with BBC Monitoring as a digital journalist. He has also worked for Ahram Online in Cairo, the German Press Agency's (dpa) English service as a Middle East correspondent and Egypt's MENA news agency.
