Real Madrid

Striker Alvaro Morata is set to rejoin Real Madrid this summer, according to Juventus' general director Giuseppe Marotta.

Madrid have an option to buy back the Spain international from the Italian giants for a fee rumoured to be €30 million (Dh124m).

It is unclear whether Morata is wanted by the Uefa Champions League winners for next season or if he will then be sold on for a profit, with several English clubs said to be interested.

"Real Madrid will exercise their right to repurchase," Marotta said in quotes posted on Marca.

“We expect their offer in writing in the coming day, then we’ll see, but the number of possibilities that remain are few, and we will try to replace him with an equally-good player.”

Morata, 23, has started both of Spain's matches in Euro 2016 so far and scored twice in Friday's 3-0 win against Turkey.

Roma

Italy international forward Stephan El Shaarawy has made his loan move from AC Milan to AS Roma permanent, the capital club said on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old striker was loaned from the seven-time European champions in January with an option to make the deal permanent for €13 million at the end of the season.

Roma said in a statement that El Shaarawy, who is currently with the Italy squad at Euro 2016 in France, signed a four-year contract.

Last season, El Shaarawy, who has an Egyptian father, was sent on loan to Monaco in France but he failed to hold down a regular first team place and moved instead to Roma in January, going on to score eight times in 18 appearances.

Leicester City

Watford remain determined to keep Troy Deeney from joining Leicester City and have reiterated the striker is not for sale.

Watford have rejected two bids for their captain from the Premier League champions after turning down Leicester's latest offer of £25 million (Dh134,7m) offer at the weekend, Press Association Sport understands.

Leicester are yet to return with an improved offer but Watford have no desire to allow Deeney to leave Vicarage Road, especially given they would owe Walsall 25 per cent of any profit over the £500,000 they bought the forward for in 2010.

Deeney scored 15 goals last season as Watford comfortably survived in the Premier League following promotion from the Championship in 2015.

Leicester have held a long-time interest in Deeney, who turns 28 next week, and he is not a replacement for Jamie Vardy should the England striker join Arsenal.

Arsenal activated his £20m release clause but Vardy, on international duty with England at Euro 2016, has stated he will not make a decision until after the tournament, although Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted at the weekend he expects him to stay.

Leicester will sign Sporting Gijon defender Luis Hernandez on a free transfer when his contract in Spain expires while they are also hopeful of signing Nice defensive midfielder Nampalys Mendy.

Mendy, 23, is not a replacement for N’Golo Kante as Leicester do not want to sell the France international but Gokhan Inler is expected to leave with the club holding talks with his agent about his future after just a season at the King Power Stadium.

Bayern Munich

Paul Clement has been appointed assistant manager at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The 44-year-old Englishman, who was sacked as manager of Championship side Derby County in February, links up with Carlo Ancelotti once again having worked with the Italian at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Hermann Gerland has been kept on as an assistant coach, retaining the role he has held under Louis van Gaal, Jupp Heynckes and Pep Guardiola.

Ancelotti has added his son, Davide, to the club’s health and fitness team.

Lyon

Lyon have announced the signing of left-back Maciej Rybus on a free transfer.

The Poland international was out of contract with Russian top-flight club Terek Grozny.

The 26-year-old defender’s arrival will be formally announced at a press conference and he is expected to pen a three-year deal.

Rybus’s signing looks set to offset the loss of Henri Bedimo, who has reportedly agreed a deal with Marseille.
