Cristiano Ronaldo takes The National Sport front page on Thursday, December 29 following comments made by Portugal manager Fernando Santos about his captain.

Santos, speaking at the Dubai International Sports Conference on Wednesday, described Ronaldo, 31, as a “genius” capable of playing at the highest level for Real Madrid and Portugal for a number of years, despite entering the latter stages of his career.
