James Anderson bowls his way onto The National Sport front page on Thursday, July 30 after taking Ashes-best figures to put England in early control of the third Test at Edgbaston.
Anderson took 6-47 while there were two wickets apiece for Stuart Broad and Steven Finn as England bowled Australia out on a rain-affected opening day for 136.
In reply, England reached 133-3 at stumps, with Ian Bell — promoted to No 3 — top-scoring with 53.
