With tennis superstar Serena Williams having confirmed her return to the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi this month, when she will play sister Venus in a one-off match, we look at the classic encounters between these two great players.

The Williams have won 30 grand slam singles titles between them, with younger sister Serena having taking home 23 of them. They have also forged successful careers in the doubles, winning 22 titles when playing together, including 14 grand slam crowns and three Olympic gold medals.

Unfortunately, most of the 30 matches they have played against each other in have ended in one-sided fashion. Their head-to-head record is lopsided as well, with Serena having won 18 of those matches.

That being said, there have been some exciting duels between them, including the semi-final of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in 2009.
