Lionel Messi is on the cover of The National's Sports Section for Sunday, October 16 after the Argentine superstar scored on his return from an injury break in Barcelona's 4-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna in the Primera Liga on Saturday.
Messi, laid low by a groin injury which kept him sidelined for much of the season’s early action, came off the bench to score against Deportivo. The hero of the day was Rafinha, who scored two goals for his side, but the Spanish champions will be relieved to see their star man in action again ahead of their crucial Uefa Champions League home game against Premier League side Manchester City.
