Still lots to play for in the NFC

The NFC play-off line-up is set but that does not mean there isn't still much for the Philadelphia Eagles (11-4) and Dallas Cowboys (10-5) to play for. While both are in the play-offs a divisional title and possibly a first-round bye for Philadelphia remain at stake today. If the Eagles win, they capture the NFC East and the play-off's second seeds. If the Cowboys win, they win the division and might set up back-to-back games against Philadelphia depending on how the final seeding works out.

And then there is the fact they hate each other. "It's all about revenge," said Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins. Dallas' Tony Romo has been in great form in the past five games with the quarterback rating of 106.7 and nine TD passes to one interception but his Eagles' counterpart, Donovan McNabb, leads the hottest team in the NFC. Philadelphia have won six consecutive games and scored an average of 31.2 points per game over that stretch.

Whoever stay hot win the division and more. The Green Bay Packers (10-5) could face the Arizona Cardinals (10-5) on consecutive weekends, so it will be interesting to see if both play conservatively. The Packers are one of two NFC wild-card teams while the defending NFC champions have already won the NFC West so while their seeding could be influenced slightly it might not be enough to lead either to go all out. Will Green Bay rest QB Aaron Rodgers, who became the first player to throw for more than 4,000 yards in his first two seasons as a starter and is tied for third in the NFL with 29 TD passes but has been sacked 50 times?

Will the Cards sit down QB Kurt Warner so he can rest after suffering a concussion several weeks ago? Who knows? Despite having a play-off slot locked up the Minnesota Vikings (11-4) are in a must-win spot against the disappointing New York Giants (8-7).
