Centre midfield: Steven Nzonzi (Stoke City) – Struck in spectacular style from long range against Liverpool, the first time Stoke have scored six in the top flight since 1966.
Striker: Mame Biram Diouf (Stoke City) – Began the thrashing of Liverpool with two goals in five minutes as his forceful, direct style brought rich dividends for Stoke.
Goalkeeper: Tom Heaton (Burnley) – Celebrated his England call-up with an outstanding performance at Villa Park as Burnley bowed out of the Premier League with a win.
Right-back: Marc Albrighton (Leicester City) – A revelation at wing-back in recent weeks, he scored in the 5-1 rout of QPR as Leicester finished with seven wins in nine.
Centre-back: Scott Dann (Crystal Palace) – Capped his fine season by helping Palace to keep a clean sheet as they beat Swansea to record their best Premier League finish, 10th.
Centre-back: Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham Hotspur) – The Belgian helped snuff out Everton as Tottenham won at Goodison Park to leapfrog Liverpool and end up fifth.
Left-back: Robbie Brady (Hull City) – Couldn't prevent Hull's relegation but the former Manchester United player was the outstanding player against his old club.
Right midfield: Loic Remy (Chelsea) – Scored twice as the champions ended their season in style, with a 3-1 win over Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.
Centre midfield: Jack Wilshere (Arsenal) – Scored one of the goals of the season on the final day with a ferocious volley against West Bromwich Albion.
Left midfield: Jonas Gutierrez (Newcastle) – Kept Newcastle up by crossing for Moussa Sissoko's opener and scoring the second in the defeat of West Ham United.
Striker: Theo Walcott (Arsenal) – Granted a rare start in attack, Walcott responded with a first-half hat-trick to press his case for a start in the FA Cup final.
