Following the season opening Grand Prix in Australia, many Formula One fans breathed a collective sigh of despair as Mercedes duo Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg finished first and second respectively to carry their dominance over from last season.

However, one race later, it was not Mercedes on top of the podium in Malaysia, but Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari.

The victory at Sepang is the first since Vettel moved from Red Bull to the Italian manufacturers, as well as Ferrari’s first title in 34 races. Indeed, it ended Vettel’s wait for a trophy since the end of 2013 in the season’s final race.
