Last weekend saw a boxing match with a difference when online superstars KSI and Logan Paul met in the ring for a second time.
The pair, with a combined 40 million subscribers on their YouTube channels, fought in front of a packed Staples Center in Los Angeles with KSI taking a split decision over his American opponent.
"I don’t want to stop," said the Brit after the fight. "I don’t want people to think I'm weak and I can't take punches because I am a fighter.
In tennis, Ashleigh Barty was denied a winning end to a glorious year when her Australia team was beaten by France in the Fed Cup final.
Barty, who ended the WTA Tour year as the world No 1, French Open champion and WTA Finals winner, could not stop her team falling to a 3-2 defeat in Perth.
"From my point of view I fought as hard as I could and I hope that I did my team proud and all Australians proud. I fought with everything I had left," said Barty.
In the English Premier League, Liverpool defeated reigning champions Manchester City 3-1 at Anfield to extend their lead at the top to eight points.
An innocuous clash between City winger Raheem Sterling and Joe Gomez during the match would end up having serous consequences for the former.
When the pair met up again on England duty 24 hours later, they were involved in a scuffle that would see Sterling dropped for the the Euro 2020 qualifier against Montenegro.
