There are still no signs that the reign of Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal in men's are coming to an end soon as they both secured titles last weekend.

The Serb, in particular, has started the year in phenomenal form after taking his winning streak to 21 matches by lifting the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships trophy for a fifth time – a 79th career title – after beating Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-4.

It came just weeks after Serbia triumphed at the inaugural ATP Cup and then Djokovic claimed a record-extending eighth Australian Open title.

Nadal, meanwhile, proved far too strong for the unseeded Taylor Fritz in the Mexican Open final, winning 6-3, 6-2. It was the Spaniard's 85th singles title.

Another Spaniard who just cannot stop winning silverware is Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

CIty defeated 2-1 Aston Villa in the League Cup final at Wembley and secured the Catalan a 30th trophy as manager.

Over in Spain, meanwhile, Guardiola's former club Barcelona were beaten 2-0 by Real Madrid in the clasico clash at the Bernabeu.

Goals from Vinicius Junior and Mariano meant that Real leap-frogged their old rivals at the top-of-the-table and now lead by a single point.
