Seven WWE championship titles to be defended at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia

A packed card is beginning to take shape for the event in Jeddah on April 27, which will be headlined by the first 50-man Royal Rumble in history

The WWE have announced that seven of their championship titles will be defended when they come to Saudi Arabia next month for the Greatest Royal Rumble.

Tickets for the event at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah on April 27 are due to go on sale on March 31 and a news release on Monday from the WWE confirmed there will be seven championship matches at the show as well as a 50-man Royal Rumble, the biggest ever in the company's history.

The Universal title, the main title on the Raw brand, as well as the WWE World Heavyweight title, the lead championship on SmackDown, will both be on the line in match-ups.

Also scheduled for the event are title matches for the Intercontinental Championship, the United States title, both the Raw and SmackDown tag team titles, and the Cruiserweight Championship.

Among the Superstars scheduled to compete in Saudi Arabia are John Cena, Triple H, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Shinsuke Nakamura and The New Day.

No match-ups have yet to be officially announced for the event and there has been no confirmation on who will be competing in the Rumble. Further details are unlikely before April 8 when WrestleMania 34 takes place in New Orleans.

Speaking on Sunday, SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan had spoken of his excitement for the event in Saudi Arabia.

The four-time WWE world champion, told The National while attending the Special Olympics IX Mena Games in Abu Dhabi:  "We are having the largest Royal Rumble match ever. Which to me is crazy! 50 people in a Royal Rumble? It is going to be nuts.

"But to me that is exciting and what that also means is if this is successful we are going to do more shows in the Middle East, which means more people are included.”
