Mark Cavendish made it two stage wins in the 2016 Abu Dhabi Tour as he claimed the sprint finish in the final stage on Sunday at Yas Marina Circuit.

Estonian Tanel Kangert, winner of Saturday’s third stage climb, maintained his overall lead and won the general classification.

The Stage 3 mountain climb at Jebel Hafeet proved decisive for the general classification last year, as well, when Esteban Chaves won the inaugural Abu Dhabi Tour. It was expected Kangert would extend that trend on Sunday.

Cavendish had also won Friday’s Stage 2, which took the riders around Abu Dhabi city and concluded at the Corniche.
