Drake and 'MVP' Barack Obama watch on as Toronto Raptors stumble: NBA Finals Game 2 - in pictures

It was back to earth with a bump for the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night as they lost Game 2 of the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors 109-104.

The Raptors, playing in their first finals, had won Game 1 on Thursday but they were beaten by the defending champions to square the series, with the next two games back in California on Wednesday and Friday.

Rapper Drake was a subdued figure courtside as the Raptors failed to build on a 12-point lead at one stage in the second period.

The NBA had reportedly discussed with the Raptors the behaviour of Drake after the franchise's global brand ambassador after the Milwaukee Bucks had been irked by his presence during the Eastern Conference Finals.

Drake was not the only celebrity at the Scotiabank Arena on Sunday.

Singer Shawn Mendes was also present, while former US president Barack Obama was a surprise spectator.

Obama's presence proved a hit with the crowd, with fans at one stage singing "MVP" at him when he appeared on the big screen.
