Virat Kohli celebrates on The National Sport front page on Monday, May 23 after scoring the winning runs for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Delhi Daredevils in their Indian Premier League (IPL) game at Raipur. Bangalore's six-wicket victory put Bangalore into the IPL play-offs.

Royal Challengers captain Kohli scored an unbeaten 54, under pressure, and put together a 66-run patnership for the third wicket with Lokesh Rahul (38) to guide his team to their fourth consecutive win.

The franchise from the southern Indian city will now face table-toppers Gujarat Lions in the play-offs for a place in the final.

With the way Kohli is playing – he has scored 919 runs in the IPL this season alone – Bangalore will be favourites to beat Suresh Raina’s win.
