West Indies spinner Devendra Bishoo bowls his way onto The National's Sport front page on Monday, October 17 after his record figures hauled his side into contention against Pakistan in the first Test match in Dubai.

Having built a lead of 222 runs from the first innings, Pakistan refused to enforce the follow-on, instead choosing to pile on more runs to ensure an unassailable lead in this day/night Test.

However, the plan spectacularly backfired as Pakistan were bowled out for 123 in less than 32 overs, with Bishoo taking figures of eight for 49.

In reply, the West Indies enter Day 5 on 95 for two, needing a further 251 runs to pull off the most unlikely of victories.

To find out the numerous records Bishoo broke in Dubai, and for a full recap on Day 4, read Paul Radley's report from the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
