Kallis crosses 11,000-run mark in Tests

The South African batsman has become only the sixth player in Test history to reach 11,000 runs.

Jacques Kallis has become only the sixth player in Test history to reach 11,000 runs. Kallis hit an unbeaten 99 yesterday as South Africa went into lunch at 398 for three on day two of the second Test against West Indies. AB de Villiers is 49 not out at Warner Park. Kallis reached the landmark at 89 and was closing in on his 35th century. The other five players to reach 11,000 Test runs are Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Ricky Ponting, Rahul Dravid and Allan Border. * Agencies
