Goalkeeper: Boaz Myhill (West Bromwich Albion) – In a weekend of several fine goalkeeping displays, Myhill stands out for the sheer volume of saves he made against Manchester City.
Right-back: Seamus Coleman (Everton) – An influential performance going forward from the Irishman, who scored Everton’s opener at QPR with a wonderful precision.
Centre-back: Cheikhou Kouyate (West Ham) – Standing in as a centre-back because of injuries to others, the midfielder helped West Ham keep a clean sheet against Sunderland.
Centre-back: Ashley Williams (Swansea) – Aston Villa’s strikers scored four goals the previous week, but none against Swansea, whose captain Williams was in fine form.
Left-back: Ryan Bertrand (Southampton) – Set up Southampton’s second goal against Burnley with a terrific cross and impressed on both attacking and defensive duties.
Right midfield: Juan Mata (Manchester United) – Scored both the best and the most important goal of the weekend, with the scissor kick to complete his match-winning brace at Anfield.
Centre midfield: David Silva (Manchester City) – Ran the game against 10-man West Bromwich Albion and chipped in with the 11th goal of his most prolific season for City.
Centre midfield: Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United) – Ungainly but effective, the Belgian helped United win control of the midfield as they beat Liverpool to stay in fourth place.
Left midfield: Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – Took his tally for the season to 16 goals with a wonderful strike in Chelsea’s action-packed victory at Hull City.
Striker: Harry Kane (Tottenham) – The first hat-trick of his Premier League career took Kane’s total to 29 goals in an astonishing season for the fast-improving Spurs striker.
Striker: Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) – North London’s other in-form centre-forward chipped in with a five-minute brace to defeat Newcastle United. Giroud has powered Arsenal into third place.
