Nigeria and Iran played out the first draw of the 2014 World Cup in a drab 0-0 affair in Curitiba on Monday.
A tournament that had been spoiling fans in Brazil with goals and excitement was due a dull match and these two sides delivered on that.
Nigeria -- who are now winless in nine World Cup matches, a longer streak than anyone else in the competition -- did have the ball in the net early in the first half after a scramble in the box but it was ruled out for a foul on goalkeeper Alireza Haghighi.
The point did few favours to either side in a group that also contains Argentina, who beat Bosnia 2-1 on Sunday.
Both African champions Nigeria and Iran will now likely need to beat European debutants Bosnia if they are to harbour hopes of reaching the last 16.
Iran’s best chance came 10 minutes before haqlf-time when Reza Ghoochanhejhad headed goalwards from Ashkan Dejagah’s corner but Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama made a reaction block on his line.
Emmanuel Emenike cut an isolated figure up front for the Super Eagles, who enjoyed 70 percent of the possession despite rarely threatening, while substitute Shola Ameobi headed just wide with a diving effort, only to be call up for a foul anyway.

Fireball
Moscow claimed it hit the largest military fuel storage facility in Ukraine, triggering a huge fireball at the site.
A plume of black smoke rose from a fuel storage facility in the village of Kalynivka outside Kyiv on Friday after Russia said it had destroyed the military site with Kalibr cruise missiles.
"On the evening of March 24, Kalibr high-precision sea-based cruise missiles attacked a fuel base in the village of Kalynivka near Kyiv," the Russian defence ministry said in a statement.
Ukraine confirmed the strike, saying the village some 40 kilometres south-west of Kyiv was targeted.

Credit Score explained
What is a credit score?
In the UAE your credit score is a number generated by the Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB), which represents your credit worthiness – in other words, your risk of defaulting on any debt repayments. In this country, the number is between 300 and 900. A low score indicates a higher risk of default, while a high score indicates you are a lower risk.
Why is it important?
Financial institutions will use it to decide whether or not you are a credit risk. Those with better scores may also receive preferential interest rates or terms on products such as loans, credit cards and mortgages.
How is it calculated?
The AECB collects information on your payment behaviour from banks as well as utilitiy and telecoms providers.
How can I improve my score?
By paying your bills on time and not missing any repayments, particularly your loan, credit card and mortgage payments. It is also wise to limit the number of credit card and loan applications you make and to reduce your outstanding balances.
How do I know if my score is low or high?
By checking it. Visit one of AECB’s Customer Happiness Centres with an original and valid Emirates ID, passport copy and valid email address. Liv. customers can also access the score directly from the banking app.
How much does it cost?
A credit report costs Dh100 while a report with the score included costs Dh150. Those only wanting the credit score pay Dh60. VAT is payable on top.

Two products to make at home
Toilet cleaner
1 cup baking soda
1 cup castile soap
10-20 drops of lemon essential oil (or another oil of your choice)
Method:
1. Mix the baking soda and castile soap until you get a nice consistency.

- enter the right cabin. The train may be too busy to move between carriages once you're on
- don't carry too much luggage and tuck it under a seat to make room for fellow passengers
