Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, was in attendance at Royal Ascot on Saturday, on what was another successful day in the office for Godolphin.
Blue Point, owned by the Dubai-based racing operation, became the first horse since Choisir in 2003 to win two Royal Ascot races at the same meeting when he clinched the Diamond Jubilee on the concluding day.
Sheikh Mohammed paid tribute to Blue Point, saying it was an easy decision to bring back the horse to compete for a second Group 1 prize four days after winning his first - the King's Stand Stakes on Tuesday.
“He is a very good horse, and after he won the King's Stand, it was quite an easy decision to run him again,” Sheikh Mohammed said of the five-year-old. “We wanted to see him another time at Ascot before he goes to stud at the end of the season."

Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia
The world fair will run for six months from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021.
It is expected to attract 25 million visits
Some 70 per cent visitors are projected to come from outside the UAE, the largest proportion of international visitors in the 167-year history of World Expos.
