Ascot, England// Chantal Sutherland was among several high-profile jockeys who fell foul of the Ascot stewards at Saturday's Shergar Cup jockeys competition.
Sutherland received a four-day suspension for using her whip above the permitted level, which appeared to rule her out of her ride on Game On Dude in the Pacific Classic at Del Mar later this month.
Game On Dude, who ran in the Dubai World Cup in March, is entered in the US$1 million (Dh3.6m) contest on August 26, but as it is a Grade 1 contest the ban does not apply.
Cristian Demuro, the Italian rider, was also handed a four-day ban, as did Yutake Take, the Japanese jockey, which Kieren Fallon, the captain of the Great Britain and Ireland team, found distasteful.
"It's sad really. All Chantal was doing was giving a couple of little taps," the Irish rider said. "Both riders tap the horses to encourage them. It is not as if they are hurting the horses. It should have been overlooked for today. They are foreign riders who are not used to our style.
"From their own country where they can hit a horse as many times as they want, they have suffered for it."
Matthew Chadwick picked up the Silver Saddle for amassing the most points with three seconds and a win aboard Mince in the final sprint of the day.
The performance of the Hong Kong rider went a long way in handing the Rest Of The World team an easy victory.
Chadwick, Aaron Gryder and captain Take beat the European team 85 to 55, while the Women's team were on 54 and the Great Britain and Ireland team on 46.
Cityscape drops back in trip today to contest a vintage Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville. Prince Khalid Abdullah's six year old faces eight other Group 1 winners in the mile contest and the Dubai Duty Free winner will need a career-best effort to register his first win since Dubai in March.
"It's a very good race, but you'd expect it to be, and I think he'll need a personal best to win," Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager for owner Prince Abdullah, said.
"After his outstanding run in Dubai, we took him to Hong Kong, which probably wasn't the best thing to do.
"He looked like he was running a very big race in the Eclipse with two and a half furlongs to go, but he just ran out of petrol, so we've brought him back to a mile.
"He's in great shape."
