Formula One's track battles in 2010

A look at races last year that had overtaking, and who was involved in it.

Malaysia A wet qualifying session shakes up the order. While Red Bull Racing run away with the win, the McLarens and Ferraris, who all start from below 17th on the grid, make their way through to finish in the points.

Turkey Mark Webber leads from the start, but falls to third after colliding with Red Bull teammate Sebastian Vettel. Lewis Hamilton inherits the lead in his McLaren-Mercedes, but loses it briefly for two corners to teammate Jenson Button before regaining his advantage.

Canada Hamilton loses his early lead during a pit-stop; the Ferrari team's rapid stop puts Alonso ahead. Hamilton out-brakes Alonso at end of long back straight to retake the lead. He also passes Webber on track for the lead after Red Bull gains track position with one less change of tyres.

Europe No overtaking at the front in Valencia, but Kamui Kobayashi takes advantage of a late change of tyres by superbly out-braking Alonso's Ferrari at the final corner two laps from the end.

Germany Despite Hockenheim's long straights, little passing takes place. Indeed, Alonso is unable to pass teammate Felipe Massa, and Ferrari make a bungled pit call to get the Brazilian to move over for the Spaniard.

Italy Webber shows passing is possible at Monza by out-braking Nico Hulkenberg and Robert Kubica at Turn One.

Wet races Australia, China, Belgium and Korea are all raced in mixed weather and the treacherous conditions and reduced grip see lots of passing up and down the field.

The rest Bahrain, Spain, Monaco, Hungary, Singapore, Japan, Brazil and Abu Dhabi are all largely processional affairs with overtaking moves limited.
