Zlatan Ibrahimovic is allegdly demanding a salary of £860,000 a month (Dh4.1m) to return to Serie A and play out another chapter of his incredible career.
The former Sweden international confirmed last week he will be leaving LA Galaxy when his conract expires at the end of the year.
The 38-year-old striker went to Galaxy after leaving Manchester United in March 2018, and has enjoyed two successful seasons.
Naturally for Zlatan, he wasn't going to announce his departure quietly. "I came, I saw, I conquered," he tweeted, alongside artwork of him overlooking Los Angeles.
"To the Galaxy fans - you wanted Zlatan, I gave you Zlatan. You are welcome. The story continues ... Now go back to watch baseball."

It seems the striker has no intention of hanging up his boots just yet. Despite his age, he has been linked with clubs across Europe, but a return to Serie A is his most likely destination, with former club AC Milan, plus Napoli, Fiorentina, Roma and Bologna all interested, and not put off by his colossal salary demands.
Ibrahimovic has spent several years in Serie A - along with many other clubs in Europe and beyond - and a return to Italy would cap one of the most amazing careers ever seen at the top of football.
The next move will be Zlatan's tenth club, and in the photo gallery above is the story so far, with the honours he has picked up. To move on to the next image, click on the arrows, or if using a mobile device, simply swipe.
