Football's European governing body have opened disciplinary proceedings against Scottish champions Celtic following an incident during their match against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday when a supporter ran on to the pitch and attempted to kick French striker Kylian Mbappe.
Uefa has acted after the supporter invaded the Celtic Park pitch after Edinson Cavani's penalty had put the French club 3-0 ahead in their Uefa Champions League Group B fixture. He ran towards Mbappe before being caught by stewards and escorted from the pitch.
"It was bitterly disappointing and I am sure the club will deal with whoever that supporter was," Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said after the match.
"It shouldn't be anything that we should see."
PSG, who would eventually go on to win 5-0 thanks to goals from Neymar, Mbappe, a Mikael Lustig own goal and a second from Cavani, inflicting Celtic's heaviest ever home defeat, have also been charged by Uefa for acts of damage after seats were broken at the stadium.
Both cases will be dealt with by the Uefa Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on October 19.
Celtic have been fined 11 times in less than six years over fan behaviour issues, including a £20,000 (Dh98,000) fine in July over an illicit banner in the crowd against Irish club Linfield in a Champions League qualifying match.
