Transfer round-up: Chelsea seek Renato Sanches and Bale speculation 'ridiculous'

Bayern Munich have reportedly claimed Chelsea manager Antonio Conte made an enquiry about their midfielder Renato Sanches.

The German giants' chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says Conte expressed interest in Sanches after the clubs' friendly in Singapore on Tuesday.

Sanches moved to Bayern from Benfica only 12 months ago but the 19-year-old player has struggled for a regular starting spot under manager Carlo Ancelotti. He made just 17 appearances in the Bundesliga last season and Rummenigge says Chelsea are one of a number of teams keen on the Portugese teenager.

Italian giants AC Milan have also been linked with Sanches.

"There are at least 10 teams after Sanches," Rummenigge told Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Conte asked for some information about him after Tuesday's match because he knows he can make the difference in the middle of the pitch.

"The lad wants to play regularly but Ancelotti was pleased with his performance against Chelsea.

"We'll make our evaluations later but if he does leave then he almost certainly will go on loan. We're still counting on him."

Bale speculation 'ridiculous'

Gareth Bale's agent has dismissed the "ridiculous" speculation suggesting he could leave Real Madrid this summer.

Bale, 28, is preparing for his fifth season at the Bernabeu, having won the Uefa Champions League three times during that spell, but reports have once again linked the Welshman with a move away.

However, Bale's representative Jonathan Barnett told Press Association Sport: "The speculation is ridiculous. Stupid."

Bale signed a new six-year contract with Madrid last October but speculation was sparked by manager Zinedine Zidane's comments after this week's pre-season defeat to Manchester City in Los Angeles. The Frenchman said he could not guarantee Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo would all be at the club at the start of the season.

"I hope the BBC [Bale, Benzema and Cristiano] stay for this season. I hope everyone remains," he said after Wednesday's friendly. "I want everyone who is here now to stay...but anything can happen right up until August 31."

That, coupled with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho stating he was still looking for a player who can play on the wing, led to suggestions Bale could be the one to be offloaded, especially with Real interested in signing Monaco's 18-year-old striker Kylian Mbappe in a world-record deal.

Barnett, though, has dismissed those claims.

Juventus: Dybala going nowhere

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta insists Paulo Dybala will not be leaving the Serie A champions this summer.

The Argentina forward has been the subject of several bids in recent weeks after starring for Juventus last season.

The 23-year-old player helped Juve claim a Serie A and Coppa Italia double and reach the Uefa Champions League final.

But Marotta has ended any talk of Dybala's exit, telling Tuttosport: "Paulo won't be sold at any price.

"We've rejected so many offers for Dybala. When a player is happy to stay at Juve, he'll stay for as long as he wants."
