No surprise to see Chelsea dominate this team after the way West London club ripped apart Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United on Sunday. Here are Richard Jolly’s picks for team of the week.

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech (Arsenal)

Made a series of fine saves to ensure Arsenal did not mark Arsene Wenger’s 67th birthday by losing to Middlesbrough.

Right-back: Adam Smith (Bournemouth)

A last-minute block ensured Bournemouth’s resilience brought a reward with a point and a clean sheet against Tottenham Hotspur.

Centre-back: Winston Reid (West Ham United)

Not too many centre-backs score from outside the box, but Reid did in injury time to secure West Ham’s second successive victory.

Centre-back: Virgil van Dijk (Southampton)

Defiant in defence, assured on the ball, he was the outstanding player on the pitch in the draw with Manchester City.

Left-back: Marcos Alonso (Chelsea)

His first-minute assist set Chelsea en route to victory over Manchester United. Coped well with Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata, too.

Right midfield: Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke City)

The Swiss became the first Stoke player to score twice in a Premier League game from outside the box in win over Hull City.

Centre midfield: N’Golo Kante (Chelsea)

Provided the expected industry in midfield and an utterly unexpected, rather impressive, goal on Sunday.

Centre midfield: Scott Arfield (Burnley)

Popped up in added time to secure Burnley’s hard-fought win over Everton. Played a part in Sam Vokes’s goal, too.

Left midfield: Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

Another high-class goal proved a highlight of Liverpool’s 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion. He also showed he can create.

Striker: Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

The star of the show in one of the results of the season. The Belgian illuminated Stamford Bridge and tormented Manchester United.

Striker: Shinji Okazaki (Leicester City)

Back in the team, he showed Leicester what they have been missing, allying his incessant running with a rare and deserved goal.
