Liverpool continued their winning start to the Premier League campaign with a 3-1 win over Arsenal with Mohamed Salah leading from the front.

The Egyptian forward scored an excellent penalty before sliding his second of the game beyond Bernd Leno as Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners in their now annual evisceration of their North London opponents at Anfield.

Manchester City returned to winning ways against Bournemouth with David Silva pulling the string to fashion a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth..

Embattled Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce finally had something to cheer about as his side pulled off a shock 1-0 win away to Tottenham Hotspur. Record signing Joelinton was on the scoresheet but it was an excellent rearguard action inspired by Paul Dummett that kept Spurs at bay in search of an equaliser.

Crystal Palace pulled off a 2-1 upset over Manchester United at Old Trafford, with goalscorers Jordan Ayew and Patrick van Aanholt both excelling.
