English football columnist Richard Jolly names his Best XI in the English Premier League for the November 22-23 weekend.

Goalkeeper: David de Gea (Manchester United) – United could easily have been 3-0 down in the first half at the Emirates Stadium but for the excellence of their goalkeeper. Instead, they won.

Right-back: Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea) – Another marauding display from the ever-impressive Ivanovic as Chelsea extended their superb start to the season against West Brom.

Centre-back: Wes Morgan (Leicester) – There were few highlights in Leicester’s 0-0 draw against Sunderland but Morgan’s solidity at least provided some encouragement for City.

Centre-back: Paul Dummett (Newcastle) – Without attracting too many headlines, the young defender is one of the in-form players in the division and helped Newcastle shut out QPR.

Left-back: Stephen Ward (Burnley) – It took a superb rearguard action for Burnley to claim their first away win of the campaign and left-back Ward was one of their heroes.

Right midfield: Yannick Bolasie (Crystal Palace) – Ran Liverpool ragged at Selhurst Park. They had no answers to his pace and the unpredictable winger recorded two assists.

Centre midfield: Leon Osman (Everton) – Marked his 400th appearance for the Toffees with a well-taken winner and an intelligent display at the base of the midfield.

Centre midfield: Christian Eriksen (Tottenham) – The star of the turnaround at Hull. Eriksen hit the post with a wonderful free kick – Harry Kane scoring the rebound – and struck the winner.

Left midfield: Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – Took his goal well and added flair in Chelsea’s dominant first-half display against West Bromwich Albion.

Centre forward: Dwight Gayle (Crystal Palace) – The energetic striker proved the scourge of Liverpool again by taking his tally to four goals in three games against them.

Centre forward: Danny Ings (Burnley) – Two goals in two minutes from the Championship’s Player of the Year helped secure a surprise away win at Stoke.
