This week's Champions League schedule sees two of European football's behemoths go head-to-head, as Serie A giants Juventus take on La Liga big dogs Barcelona in Turin.

Between them, the two clubs have won the European Cup seven times, finishing runners-up on another 10 occasions.

Hopes that the Group G match could see old rivals Cristiano Ronaldo, of Juve, and Barca's Lionel Messi locking horns again hang in the balance, after the Portuguese attacker tested positive for the coronavirus on October 13.

Ronaldo has been in isolation since and will have to pass another Covid-19 test 24 hours before the match or his spell on the sidelines will be extended.

Juventus started their Champions League campaign with a 2-0 win at Dynamo Kiev last week, with Alvaro Morata scoring twice.

Barca were even more convincing, thrashing Ferencvaros 5-1 in a game that saw Messi become the first player to score in 16 straight Champions League campaigns.
