The coronavirus pandemic has led to the shutdown of most major sports events and leagues around the world, including the big European football competitions.

We have been seeing the best side of football over the past few days, with the likes of Chelsea, both Manchester clubs, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka and a host of others donating money or offering free accommodation to frontline medical workers fighting the coronavirus.
