Jordan Pickford - 6: Only called into action on a couple of occasions and then had to pick the ball out of the net. Will have busier days ahead. EPA

Kieran Trippier - 8: Quickly becoming England's most creative player with his pin-point set pieces - it was his corner from which Stones opened the scoring and his pass which led to the first penalty. Started the tournament well against Tunisia and continued his fine form against Panama. Given a rest for the final 20 minutes. Getty Images

Ashley Young - 6: Upstaged so far by fellow wing-back Trippier, Young failed to make much of an impact in the final third. Wasn't tested defensively. Reuters

Jordan Henderson - 7: Has justified being selected ahead of Eric Dier in the holding role. His passing was crisp and he almost scored with an excellent second-half volley. Getty Images

Jesse Lingard - 8: Scored one of the goals of the tournament so far in the first half with a lovely curling effort from 20 yards. Won England's first penalty when he was bundled over after getting in behind the Panama defence, he has carried on his fine form for Manchester United last season. Reuters

Ruben Loftus-Cheek - 7: Lacked the headline-grabbing moments of Kane and Lingard but looks totally at ease in this team and has put pressure on Dele Alli should he return to fitness for the next match. EPA

Harry Kane - 8: Is there a more trustworthy right foot? Buried both of his penalties in the top corner and although his third was a fortuitous deflection from a Loftus-Cheek shot, he simply looks the part this time around after the disappointment of Euro 2016. Raheem Sterling - 6: Buzzed around upfront without much luck. Preferred ahead of Rashford but looks short of confidence and needs a goal. EPA

Fabian Delph - 6: Also given 30 minutes to give Lingard a rest as England saw out the game. Reuters

Jamie Vardy - 6: Replaced Harry Kane with half an hour to go but didn't get much opportunity in front of goal. Reuters

Danny Rose - 6: Replaced Kieran Tripper with 20 minutes to go. Reuters

England brushed aside a weak Panama side 6-1 to qualify for the last 16 of the World Cup, as Harry Kane netted a hat-trick.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker scored two first-half penalties and deflected in a third after half time as England claimed their biggest win at a World Cup.

Defender John Stones scored twice from set-pieces in the first half, while Jesse Lingard curled in a stunning strike before Panama scored their first ever goal at the World Cup finals.

Kane meanwhile is only the third England player to score a hat-trick at the World Cup.

England face Belgium on Thursday in Kaliningrad in what will be the decider for who tops the group.
