Cristiano Ronaldo was in jovial mood as he joined Juventus teammates in a final training session ahead of Wednesday's trip to Bayer Leverkusen.

Ronaldo has had his ups and downs this season, with reports that he has been at odds with manager Maurizio Sarri after being either rested or substituted in recent matches.

He also missed out on the Ballon d'Or award, which went to his great rival Lionel Messi, although he did scoop Serie A's Best Player award.

The Italians can afford to relax with their progress to the Champions League last 16 confirmed with a game to spare. Leverkusen will join them in the knockout rounds if they beat Juventus and Atletico Madrid do not beat Lokomotiv Moscow in the other Group D match.
