The Bahrain football team returned home to a heroes' reception following their victory at the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup.

Helio Sousa's squad were taken on an open-top bus to the Bahrain International Circuit - home of the country's annual Formula 1 race - on Monday to parade the trophy.

Mohamed Al Rohaimi's goal on 69 minutes gave Bahrain a 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia at the Khalifa International Stadium on Sunday.

The victory over Saudi gave Bahrain a first-ever Gulf Cup, having lost four previous finals.
