Ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium, here is a look at five memorable matches between the London sides where Arsenal had home advantage:
December 2010
This encounter will stand out for Arsenal fans owing to the fact it is the most recent time they beat Chelsea on home turf. They prevailed 3-1 on this occasion, with Alex Song opening the scoring.
Cesc Fabregas, now with Chelsea, doubled the lead, before Theo Walcott added a third. Branislav Ivanovic pulled back a consolation goal for the visitors.
May 2009
Arsenal do not lose many games at the Emirates Stadium, but being on the receiving end of a heavy loss at their own ground is even rarer.
But that is what happened here as Chelsea cantered to a 4-1 victory, with goals from Alex, Nicolas Anelka, Florent Malouda and an own goal from Kolo Toure accounting for their emphatic victory.

December 2004
Jose Mourinho and Chelsea were on their way to the Premier League title, but they had to work hard to earn a point in a 2-2 draw with champions Arsenal here.
Arsene Wenger’s team twice took the lead through Thierry Henry, but Chelsea managed to fight back to restore parity both times, with John Terry and Eidur Gudjohnsen on the scoresheet.
January 2003
Most of the action happened in the final 10 minutes here as Arsenal won 3-2. Marcel Desailly’s own goal had given Arsenal an early lead, which they held until the 81st minute, when two goals in 60 seconds from Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Henry put them three up.
But Chelsea hit back through Mario Stanic and Emmanuel Petit to make Arsenal sweat.
September 1996
Goals from Paul Merson, Martin Keown and Ian Wright had seen Arsenal come from two down to lead.
But Dennis Wise’s stoppage time equaliser made the scoreline 3-3.
