The Premier League leaders go up against last year’s champions at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have not beaten Chelsea on home turf since December 2010, and they really need to pick up three points tomorrow to maintain their hopes of a first title since 2004.

The middle part of the European Tour’s Desert Swing sees the golfers depart the UAE for Doha. South African Branden Grace is back to defend the title he won by one shot 12 months ago, with Sergio Garcia, Victor Dubuisson and Louis Oosthuizen among the other players competing.

There may be a fair amount of controversy over its origins and who exactly should be eligible to play in it, but the action in the competition finally begins this week, with the Gemini Arabians going up against the Libra Legends in Dubai on Thursday. The tournament runs until February 13.
Al Wahda v Al Jazira, Friday, 8pm, Abu Dhabi Sports
Neither side has had much to celebrate this season in the Arabian Gulf League, but local pride is at stake on Friday when the two Abu Dhabi teams meet at Wahda’s Al Nahyan Stadium. Jazira won 3-2 when the sides met in September with Yaser Matar scoring the winner.
