Goalkeeper: Declan Rudd (Norwich City)

On a weekend of fine goalkeeping displays, Norwich City’s usual reserve excelled to stop Everton destroying his side in the first half.

Right-back: Allan Nyom (Watford)

Part of a miserly defence who kept another clean sheet and burst forward to set up Odion Ighalo’s winner at Sunderland.

Centre-back: Chancel Mbemba (Newcastle)

Defended valiantly at White Hart Lane to keep the score at 1-0 before a late comeback brought a surprise win for the strugglers.

Centre-back: Ryan Shawcross (Stoke City)

Stoke still haven’t conceded a league goal with their captain on the pitch. He showed why in the stalemate against West Ham.

Left back: Chris Brunt (West Bromwich Albion)

One of the league’s true set-piece specialists set up both of Albion’s goals at Anfield with corners that Liverpool could not cope with.

Right midfield: Gylfi Sigurdsson (Swansea City)

Out of form for much of the season, the Icelander returned to it as he troubled Manchester City in Swansea’s unlucky defeat.

Centre midfield: Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal)

Has relished a return to the centre of midfield and scored for the second successive weekend in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

Centre midfield: Yohan Cabaye (Crystal Palace)

A class act and a catalyst, surging forward to score Palace’s winner against Southampton, taking them into the top six.

Left midfield: Junior Stanislas (Bournemouth)

Few score direct from a corner against David de Gea. Stanislas did and excelled with his pace as Bournemouth recorded another landmark win.

Striker: Josh King (Bournemouth)

Formerly of Manchester United, the Norwegian condemned his old club to defeat with a goal that completed Bournemouth’s greatest ever week.

Striker: Ayoze Perez (Newcastle)

Came off the bench to transform the game at White Hart Lane, scoring a 93rd-minute winner as Newcastle ended Tottenham’s unbeaten run.
