• SATURDAY - Crystal Palace v Tottenham (3.30pm kick off UAE): Top of the table, Harry Kane staying put - for the time being, anyway - and all is suddenly well at Tottenham. Three 1-0 wins in a row have put Nuno Espirito Santo's on top and another tight win here at Selhurst Park will maintain their 100 per cent record. Prediction: Palace 1 Spurs 2. AFP

  • Arsenal v Norwich (6pm): Bottom of the table, no points , no goals and nine conceded from three games hardly makes for ideal starts for Mikel Arteta and big-spending Arsenal. While injuries and illness have played a part, anything less than a win against fellow pointless side Norwich and pressure ramps up another notch on Arteta. Prediction: Arsenal 1 Norwich 0. AFP

  • Brentford v Brighton (6pm): Both of these teams will have been delighted by their starts to the campaign. Brentford's five points out of a possible nine has provided a solid foundation to their first Premier League season, while perennial strugglers Brighton are one point better off than the Bees. Honours even here, though. Prediction: Brenford 2 Brighton 2. Reuters

After the frankly rude interruption of an international break, the English Premier League is back with a bang this weekend.

Crystal Palace's home game with Tottenham Hotspur launches the action on Saturday with two other games in London following hot on its heels as Arsenal face Norwich City Brentford playing host to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Leicester City take on Manchester City at the King Power Stadium, while Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make his sensational return to Old Trafford as Manchester United tackle Newcastle. Southampton against West Ham at St Mary's, Watford's home clash with Wolves and Chelsea against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge bring a hectic day to a close.

Sunday sees Leeds United face Liverpool in Yorkshire and the final match sees Everton versus Burnley at Goodison Park on Monday.

You can see our predictions for this weekend's fixtures in the gallery above.
