MANCHESTER // Manchester City triumphed over Wigan despite having captain Richard Dunne sent off for a moment of madness. Paulo Zabaleta' second half strike proved enough to give City the three points, but Mark Hughes' side were forced to work hard for the points. Zabaleta had fired City ahead in the 53rd minute after Wigan had failed to clear a Robinho cross, but 60 seconds later Dunne and Wigan forward Amr Zaki tangled going for a ball. The City defender appeared to kick out at his Egyptian opponent, with referee Lee Mason giving him a straight red card. Ryan Taylor had an effort cleared off the line as Wigan pushed for a leveller, with Zaki missing an open goal with a header as City held on.
