Dubai Golden Shaheen results: Mind Your Biscuits wins as Comicas finishes second in close race with Morawij

Mind Your Biscuits became the first horse to come out from the widest gate from 14 to win the Group 1 US$2 million (Dh7.34m) Dubai Golden 1 Shaheen.

Joel Rosario brought the Posse colt from wide outside and they just breezed past the field to win convincingly by three lengths over the 1,200-metre trip on the dirt at Meydan Racecourse.

Godolphin’s Comicas under William Buick finished second ahead of the Christopher Hayes-ridden Morawij, last year’s third in this race.

It was also a first win in Dubai for the rookie American trainer Chad Summers and some consolation to Rosario, who lost the Al Quoz Sprint on Long On Value 35 minutes earlier in a photo.​
