Mind Your Biscuits became the first horse to come out from the widest gate from 14 to win the Group 1 US$2 million (Dh7.34m) Dubai Golden 1 Shaheen.
Joel Rosario brought the Posse colt from wide outside and they just breezed past the field to win convincingly by three lengths over the 1,200-metre trip on the dirt at Meydan Racecourse.
Godolphin’s Comicas under William Buick finished second ahead of the Christopher Hayes-ridden Morawij, last year’s third in this race.
It was also a first win in Dubai for the rookie American trainer Chad Summers and some consolation to Rosario, who lost the Al Quoz Sprint on Long On Value 35 minutes earlier in a photo.
