Cricket: Australia v India, first ODI, 7.20am, Tuesday, OSN Sport

India go up against the 50-over format’s world champions Australia in the first of a five-match series, with the action beginning in Perth on Tuesday. Steve Smith leads hosts Australia into action fresh from guiding them to a 2-0 Test series victory over the West Indies. The Australia captain will be hoping for a repeat of the last time the two teams met in an ODI – the World Cup semi-final last March – when his 105 helped Australia to a 95-run victory.

Premier League: Liverpool v Arsenal, midnight, Wednesday, beIN Sports

The two sides could not have had more contrasting results or performances in the weekend's FA Cup action. Holders Arsenal overcame a dogged Sunderland side 3-1 despite conceding first at Emirates Stadium while Liverpool have to cram a replay into an already congested schedule after they had to battle hard to salvage a 2-2 draw against League One side Exeter on Friday. Arsenal will look to keep their noses in front at the top of the Premier League table, but Liverpool, who are currently eighth in the table, have enjoyed some of their best performances this season away from home against the top sides. November's 4-1 trouncing of Manchester City at Etihad Stadium springs to mind.
