T20 World Cup 2022 guide: How to watch in UAE, fixtures, squads and prize money

Australia will attempt to defend the trophy they won in Dubai last year when they host the T20 World Cup this month. The competition will begin with first-round group matches in Geelong and Tasmania, starting on October 16. The two teams who top those two groups of four will advance to play alongside the top-ranking sides in the Super 12 phase. For just the second time in history, the UAE will be part of the competition. Back in 2014, the national team lost all their matches in the preliminary round of the World T20 in Sylhet in Bangladesh.
