The competition will begin with first-round group matches in Geelong and Tasmania, starting on October 16.
The two teams who top those two groups of four will advance to play alongside the top-ranking sides in the Super 12 phase.
Are UAE playing?
For just the second time in history, the UAE will be part of the competition.
Back in 2014, the national team lost all their matches in the preliminary round of the World T20 in Sylhet in Bangladesh.
They will be hoping for better this time having been pitched into a group with Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Namibia.
