Goalkeeper: Robert Green (QPR). While QPR were poor at Turf Moor, their goalkeeper was not. Green produced a couple of superb saves.
Right-back: Lazar Markovic (Liverpool). Not really a right wing-back, the young Serb nevertheless excelled, scoring and hitting the bar with an audacious volley.
Centre-back: Gareth McAuley (West Brom). The veteran was a solid presence at the back as West Brom marked their first league game under Tony Pulis with a clean sheet.
Centre-back: Jose Fonte (Southampton). Lost his injured centre-back partner Toby Alderweireld but stood tall to snuff out Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Left-back: Paul Konchesky (Leicester). The former Liverpool defender scored his first Premier League goal in 1,945 days to give Leicester victory against Aston Villa.
Right midfield: Jason Puncheon (Crystal Palace) – Gave Alan Pardew’s homecoming at Selhurst Park a fitting conclusion with a well-taken winner against Tottenham.
Centre midfield: Oscar (Chelsea). The Brazilian used his quick thinking and quick feet to score one goal and make another in the 2-0 victory over Newcastle.
Centre midfield: Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton). A commanding performance in the centre of the pitch to limit the space afforded to Manchester United’s creators.
Left midfield: Scott Arfield (Burnley). Manager Sean Dyche felt the Scot’s goal against QPR was the sort of strike Alexis Sanchez might produce.
Centre forward: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal). The Chilean's extraordinary season continued as he scored twice against Stoke after setting up Arsenal's opener.
Centre forward: Andy Carroll (West Ham). Scored the goal of the weekend with an exquisite finish against Swansea. Few thought he had it in him.
