Promoted Bologna could offer Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli the opportunity to rekindle his career in Serie A.
The 24-year-old striker scored just one Premier League goal in his first season at Anfield and the Italy international’s position has been weakened by the £32.5 million (Dh187m) arrival of Christian Benteke from Aston Villa.
Sampdoria have already expressed their interest in bringing Balotelli back to the league where he has represented both Inter and AC Milan, and now Bologna’s director of sport Pantaleo Corvino has hinted at a loan deal.
"I would take him, he would be highly motivated here," Corvino told the Corriere dello Sport. "Of course, Bologna have to respect certain financial parameters, but for the right price I would even look at the possibility of buying him outright."

Fourth Arab Economic and Social Development Summit

Lebanon is scheduled to host the fourth Arab Economic and Social Development Summit in January that will see regional leaders gather to tackle the challenges facing the Middle East. The last such summit was held in 2013. Assistant Secretary-General Hossam Zaki told The National that the Beirut Summit “will be an opportunity for Arab leaders to discuss solely economic and social issues, the conference will not focus on political concerns such as Palestine, Syria or Libya". He added that its slogan will be “the individual is at the heart of development”, adding that it will focus on all elements of human capital.
